Privacy Policy¶
Last updated: July 2026
This privacy policy explains how PatternDojo ("we", "our", "the site") handles your data when you visit. We take privacy seriously — even though this is a small, static site.
What data we collect¶
PatternDojo is a static educational website. It hosts no user accounts, no logins, no comments, no user submissions, and no e-commerce. The site itself does not actively collect personal data from your visit.
If you contact us by email or open an issue on our GitHub repository, you voluntarily provide us with your email address, GitHub username, and any information included in your message or issue. We receive this data through the respective service (Gmail, GitHub) and use it only to respond to your inquiry and improve the site. We retain correspondence only as long as needed to address the matter; GitHub retains issue content per its own policy.
If we later add Google AdSense or another advertising network, that network may set cookies on your browser to serve relevant advertisements. This is described in more detail below.
External links¶
We link to third-party coding judges (LeetCode, HackerRank, Codeforces, and others). When you follow those links, you leave PatternDojo. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we have no control over what data they collect or how they use it. You should read their privacy policies before using them.
Advertising (planned)¶
PatternDojo plans to use Google AdSense to display advertisements. AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites across the internet.
Specifically:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
- Users may alternatively opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
If we add any other ad networks or third-party vendors in the future, they will be listed here with links.
Cookies and consent¶
PatternDojo does not set any cookies of its own. Any cookies set on your device would come from advertising or analytics services we may use in the future.
If and when we enable advertising, we will implement a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) to obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies. This CMP will handle:
- EEA / UK / Switzerland visitors: Consent under the GDPR and ePrivacy Directive, integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF).
- India visitors: Affirmative, explicit consent under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act), with a stated purpose and consent records.
You will be able to withdraw your consent at any time through the CMP widget on the site.
Data retention and security¶
Since we collect no personal data directly, there is nothing to retain or secure beyond what our third-party services (such as Cloudflare Pages) manage on our behalf. Cloudflare's privacy policy and security practices apply to the hosting layer.
Your rights¶
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under applicable data protection law, including:
- The right to know what data is collected and how it is used
- The right to opt out of personalised advertising
- The right to withdraw consent for non-essential cookies
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy¶
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
